just got back in the house started at 3:00 this afternoon had to kill the roosters only killed the one did not want to but a bit sad to do it, took 4 hours to do the one, first timer. going to save...

hey I first snaped the neck took 2 minutes then cut it off took a minute. I had to kill it because the neighbours were complaining, I want to use the rooster to fertilize the eggs and then the hen...

I understand how hard this is. If your neighbors were complaining, you only did what you had to. Everyone has rooster problems - too many, too loud, or too fussy neighborhood rules or compaining...

I'm still not following this... if the roo is dead now, how will you get it to fertilize the eggs? And did you mean the hen is going to set on the roo? I'm so confused. I don't have a lot of chicken...
